walking directions

Once on Duke West Campus, use the campus map to arrive at the Levine Science Research Center (LSRC) building. Enter the LSRC's large atrium (which is just beyond the Cube adjacent Blue Express.) Once inside the atrium, simply walk up the stairwell towards office B203 on the second floor. Once in front of B203, turn left, go through a door, then turn right down the B-wing and B241 (our lab space) will be on your left.

The fields of cognitive psychology and cognitive neuroscience have traditionally been made up mostly of white male researchers. Over recent decades, the representation of women, members of racial minority groups, and people from economically disadvantaged backgrounds has increased; however, they remain underrepresented in our field, especially in the upper reaches of the profession (e.g., Professors, Editors), and they are faced with numerous additional obstacles (e.g., lower salaries). For reasons of fairness and richness of perspectives, as a lab, we are committed to gender, racial, and socioeconomic equity, and we strive to provide an inclusive environment that celebrates our differences, and provides support for the diverse challenges faced by each individual. We pledge to pursue these goals by promoting the recruitment, training and recognition of individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds, and by educating ourselves about the numerous biases and barriers to successful scientific careers that they face.

diversity and inclusion

Our need for undergraduates can vary, but if you interested in joining our lab as a research assistant, do please reach out to us at tobias.egner@duke.edu!
